Background & Training

Sanjita Ekhelikar, PsyD earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Loyola University Maryland, where she also completed her master's degree. She possesses advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and is passionate about helping people live by their personal values and improving relationship dynamics. Dr. Ekhelikar approaches emotional wellbeing with a multicultural and social-justice oriented lens, and she focuses on the mental health effects of oppression and the potential for healing in therapy. She also has a strong interest in bicultural identity and therapy for 2nd generation adult children of immigrants. Before joining the team at Manhattan Therapy Collective, Dr. Ekhelikar worked as a therapist in community mental health centers, private practices, and Veterans Affairs medical hospitals in Baltimore and in NYC. She is a member of Psi Chi, the national honor society for psychology. Dr. Ekhelikar loves dancing, dogs, scenic views, and traveling.
