We are committed to making a tangible difference in NYC.
From day one, we’ve prioritized giving back. We take a percentage out of every session fee we receive and at the end of the year, we donate that amount to a local non-profit that provides human services or mental health care to marginalized or vulnerable groups in NYC. This has been a part of our business model since we opened our doors. Our hope is, as our practice grows, so can our generosity.
We deeply believe that when you go to therapy - any personal growth, health, and healing you experience doesn’t just benefit you personally - it causes a positive ripple effect in your relationships and community. Our giving initiative riffs off this idea. When you choose to financially invest in therapy, we’ve decided part of that money gets to positively impact someone else too.
We know going to therapy is a privilege. We know that quality mental health care is reserved for those who can afford it, which means many can’t. We don’t believe in hiding where we are privileged. We believe in acknowledging it and committing to practical action for the greater good. We know this doesn’t solve the deeply rooted inequalities that exist when it comes to accessing mental health care. But we remain dedicated to doing something small to make a difference, every time we go to work.
