As psychologists, we’re committed to change on a bigger level.
Our work as psychologists isn’t always immediate or tangible like building roads or homes. Personal growth and change takes time, patience, and effort. However, we’re committed to visible action too.
How we give back
We take a small part of your session fee and donate that amount to a local non-profit that provides human services or mental health care to marginalized or vulnerable people in NYC. This has been a part of our business model since we opened our doors. It’s built in so that as our practice grows, so does our generosity.
We deeply believe that when you go to therapy - any emotional growth, health, and healing you experience doesn’t just benefit you personally - it causes a felt ripple effect in your relationships and community. Our giving initiative riffs off this idea. When you choose to financially invest in therapy, part of that investment positively impacts someone else locally.
We know going to therapy is a privilege. We know that quality mental health care is reserved for those who can afford it, which means many can’t. We don’t believe in hiding where we are privileged. We believe in acknowledging it and committing to practical action for the greater good.
We know this doesn’t solve the deeply rooted inequalities that exist when it comes to accessing good mental health care. But we remain dedicated to doing something small to make a difference, every time we go to work.
